| Karan Chavis has performed or been billed with such music greats as The Duke Ellington Orchestra, B.B. King, Aaron Neville and the Neville Brothers, Bo Diddley, Carmen Bradford, Kirk Whalum, Larry Carlton, Ricky Trevino, Joe Diffy, Bobby Dixon, The Lynns, Storyville, Marcia Ball, Eddie Campbell, Ian Moore, and Asleep at the Wheel. She has toured with "Legends", has sung for the Lombardi Awards, and has performed at the Lincoln Theater, the American Club in Tokyo Japan, Reliant Stadium, and many other venues across Texas and the United States. She has performed for Former President George H.W. Bush and has given repeated performances for the San Antonio Spurs. The City of Austin, Texas declared "Karan Chavis Day" in recognition of Karan's talent and hard work. She has been voted among the top ten "Best Female Vocalist" in the Austin Chronicle Music Awards and has had recurring appearances on Austin Music Network Television and KUT "Live Set. Karan has performed on multiple occasions at the South By Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival. Her songwriting experience includes work with professional music publishing and recording companies in Nashville,Tennessee. Her song "Pain in my Glass" was featured in a broadcast television production. She performs original material and covers works from such artists as Anita Baker, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Bonnie Raitt. Her sultry voice spans a number of ranges making her energetic performances entertaining and memorable.
